Barbara has been employed with Our Health since October 2009. While caring for the campus buildings and assisting the campus partners with any problems or projects she also has the opportunity to guide new clients to the agencies that they have come to see.
Barbara’s real passion is cooking and has been since the age of 21. She pursues this passion through her business, Anchor Catering and Cleaning. Several of the Kendall Community Campus partners enjoy her catering services, especially Our Health.
Born and raised in Charles Town, WV, Barbara has resided in Fairmont, WV and Winchester, VA before settling in her current home with her husband in Capon Bridge, WV. She is a mother of two children and grandmother to four grandchildren. She also mothers a cat and recently acquired a dog that she adores but sadly the cat doesn’t!
Barbara attended high school at Jefferson High in Charles Town WV and completed a culinary course at James Ramsey.
Our Health Moment
“The journey of my life has helped me to see how much we are all connected and in coming to Our Health I have crossed paths with old friends and have made new ones too. I thought that cooking was the only way to the heart but reaching and touching the lives of others is the best way to the heart. Volunteering with some of the agencies has been rewarding for me and has reinforced this truth.”
